You organize regular editorial meetings throughout the semesters and publish frequent online articles. In coordination with LOKO, you also publish a number of printed magazines throughout the year.
What is expected of you?
As an elected member of LOKO International you're part of the team and therefore will try to keep a close connection to your colleagues. You also try to encourage this in your own volunteers. You communicate regularly with both your editorial secretary and the International Coördinator to arrange practical matters and exchange useful information. From time to time you try to help out other members of the team and when possible you try to help out during large scale events. You establish a vision for THE VOICE and make sure your team is carrying out that vision.
What kind profile are we looking for?
As editor-in-chief you lead a team of editors, an editorial secretary and freelance writers. You lead the editorial meetings and you are responsible for the follow-up of the editors and the editorial secretary. You are responsible for the final editing and regular publishing of THE VOICE. You can work well with deadlines and you show commitment towards the magazine.

Number of people we're looking for
You cooperate closely with the international coordinator of LOKO and the international representatives. You also compose and lead your own team of editors and writers.
You have a team of editors and volunteers. They are not always as motivated as they should be. Sometimes you have input of 10 people and other meetings only 3 show up. How would you try to motivate your editors during the year to keep the articles coming? And how would you make sure you have an average amount of volunteers each week?
Imagine an emergency situation with only 2 articles in your mailbox in 2 weeks time. What kind of action would you take if one of the editors does not take his task seriously and does not deliver sufficient work?
As Editor in chief you have the final word about the articles going online. It is your job to keep the reputation high. What if you receive an article that does not have the quality you expect, but the volunteers put a lot of work in writing it and the editor previewed it and it ends up in your mailbox. How do you tell the editor and volunteer that the article is not going to be used? How do you react if you have a different opinion about an article?
The Voice exist for a long while already, all past editors in chief had their own vision, resulting in different types of main goals regarding the articles and the final look of The Voice. As the new editor in chief of this international student magazine, what is your vision and what would you change about The Voice? Tell us more about how you see The Voice in 5 years.
The Voice is a great way of communicating with the students in Leuven. Making the magazine popular is all about creating the right strategies to promote The Voice. How would you bring the online magazine closer to the student? How interesting is the printed magazine over the online articles and how would you distribute those?
The magazine is for students in Leuven. They should find information relevant to them in it and also have the chance to learn something more when visiting the page or opening the magazine. Is there a specific topic you would like to concentrate on this year? What kind of content would be published if it were just up to you?
