, we’re confronted with them on a daily basis: from wisdom that is “common knowledge” to stories in popular media. That’s why this concept is the theme
of the 32nd edition of the arts festival Ithaka
, in which 15 new, talented artists
give their interpretation of the idea. In this way we hope to give them a platform to share their artwork, and to bring both students and Leuven residents closer to the wondrous world of art. To enhance this even more, we're also organising workshops
and other side activities
throughout the week, and there will be a bar
to have a cosy aftertalk. The backdrop of all of this is the Zwartzusterklooster
(Monastery of the Black Sisters), a centuries old building in which the order of the Black Sisters used to take care of the sick. Definitely come take a look and discover art and myths in all shapes and sizes! See you soon
