Insurance subsidies

To qualify for this subsidy, the association must be recognised by LOKO and adopt the form of a non-profit organisation.

In the first place, LOKO subsidizes a director’s liability insurance ('bestuurdersaansprakelijkheidsverzekering'). If your association does not have this insurance, you will sadly not qualify for the insurance subsidy. The civil liability insurance and other insurance policies of the association may, however, supplement the amount of a director's liability insurance up to a ceiling of €300.

Attention: The reimbursement of the directors' liability insurance forkring umbrella bodies ('kringkoepels') may exceed the limit of €300. Consult the subsidy regulations for the concrete scheme.

The application is submitted annually by forwarding the evidence to subsidies@loko.be or submitting it via the tool on the website (temporarily unavailable).

To apply for an insurance subsidy, your association must prove that it has actually concluded the insurance. Therefore, we ask you to submit a copy of the paid-up insurance policy or proof of payment of the insurance policy, which is no more than 365 days old on May 1^st of the academic year in which the application is submitted. This should be submitted as evidence by May 1^st at the latest.
