New in Leuven? Welcome!

What is LOKO and what can we do for you?

LOKO is the umbrella organization of the Leuven circles, but it is certainly also there for the students themselves! We have 3 important core tasks:

1) LOKO organizes events for the Leuven students. For example, you have Ithaka, Survival of the Student, the 24-hour run, the International Party, and the Think Abroad month, just to name a few. Fun guaranteed!

2) In addition, LOKO represents the interests of the students. LOKO is involved with housing, Alma, Acco, sustainability, and many more interesting topics.

3) Finally, LOKO supports both circles and individual students. Be sure to check out our lending service or our training offerings, or apply for a project subsidy!

Furthermore, the independent student newspaper Veto ensures that you have a newspaper with new student news to read every week.

Your student union is here for you

Student unions are student organizations that focus on a specific program or group of programs. In this way, they are your local student council, provide courses, and organize fun and useful activities to forge friendships for life.

They not only organize relaxing activities but also provide a course service and represent their students in various faculty advisory and policy bodies.
