Insurance subsidies
With the insurance subsidy, LOKO aims to encourage all Leuven associations to adopt a non-profit structure by financially contributing to this aspect of the fixed costs of a non-profit structure.
In the first place, only the directors' liability insurance of recognized associations is subsidized.
Deadlines
The deadline for applying for the insurance subsidy is May 1 for circles, recognized free associations that are recognized in the first or second semester of the academic year.
Is your association eligible for an insurance subsidy?
To be eligible, the association must be recognized by LOKO and adopt a non-profit structure.
In the first place, LOKO subsidizes a directors' liability insurance. If your association does not have that policy? Unfortunately, you cannot claim the subsidy. The general liability insurance and other insurances of the association can potentially supplement the amount of a directors' liability insurance up to the ceiling of €300.
Attention: The reimbursement of the directors' liability insurance for umbrella organizations may exceed the limit of €300. Please consult the subsidy regulations for the specific arrangements regarding this.
